This HPI RS4 Sport 3 RTR Touring Car is equipped with a pre-painted 1/10 scale replica of the 1969 Ford Mustang RTR-X muscle car built in collaboration with world champion Drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the Need for team Speed.
The RS4 Sport 3 is a fun road car that is easy to drive and has simple maintenance with a fully pre-assembled racing frame, 2.4 GHz radio control and complete waterproof protection.
The kit comes with a series of beautiful wheels equipped with HPI Spec-Grip tires specific for drift.
Under the body there is the RS4 Sport 3 chassis, the main part of which is the only piece molded in reinforced plastic, the last scale chassis for touring cars by HPI Racing. The HPI RS4 Sport 3 chassis features a fully sealed and highly efficient 4WD transmission, coil-over dampers and waterproof electronics. The completely contained transmission means that there are no exposed gears, belts or transmission parts for they could get blocked by debris and dirt.
All the components stay as low as possible in the frame, offering an extremely low center of gravity that guarantees great performance.
RS4 Sport 3 can mount packs of lithium and nickel-cadmium polymers of various sizes including extra-long 7-cell Ni-MH packets for every power requirement. A sturdy tear-off strap holds the pack firmly in place and a simple battery lock is screwed to allow you to adjust the weight distribution forward or backward for greater steering or acceleration.
All-wheel drive provides maximum control and precision on the road or track. All four wheels are driven by metal gear differentials both in the front and rear. Extra traction provides more acceleration and cornering control for maximum safety and enjoyment.
The transmission of all RS4 Sport 3 models has the engine mounted longitudinally in the molded frame next to the long transmission shaft that descends to the center of the car. The entire transmission, including the central drive shaft and gear differentials is completely sealed to prevent dirt, stones and debris from damaging or binding the transmission. The transmission shaft, differentials and axles rotate on ball bearings to maximize transmission efficiency.
The central drive shaft that connects the front and rear differentials is easily accessible from under the frame like the differentials which, to adjust them, simply remove 4 screws.
The all-metal construction allows the transmission to withstand powerful brushless motors. Ball bearings with rubber seals support the differentials that can be adjusted independently by changing the grease. The height-adjustable body supports allow you to mount any type of HPI Racing 1/10 touring body on the RS4 Sport 3 chassis.
