Overview
Enjoy the excitement of the terrain driving Monster Truck with the jaw-dropping power and brushless performance at over 50 MPH of the ARRMA® GRANITE ™ 4X4 3S BLX Monster Truck. Precision aluminum, durable steel and composite materials come together for a super tough, easy-to-maintain vehicle design, now updated for even greater performance and durability.
The GRANITE ™ 4X4 3S BLX RTR is DESIGNED FAST, DESIGNED TOUGH - built for thrilling attack speeds and extreme toughness on all terrains. New features that enhance its unstoppable performance include a stronger frame and retained hinge pin plates; steering with more space for stones; a non-slip pad with studs and a sliding net; and rubber shielded bearings throughout.
It now also includes a Spektrum ™ SLT3 ™ transmitter and SLR300 receiver. The transmitter is ergonomically designed for long periods of fatigue-free shots and has a foam wheel for precise fingertip control, as well as improved hand grip and trigger sensitivity. New bashers will be able to set throttle limits to 50% or 75% until they are ready to use full speed potential. SLT3 ™ is compatible with Tactic® SLT ™ receivers to operate other RTR vehicles you may own and includes a third channel to control optional functions such as lights and winches on models that have them.
ARRMA® now powers the GRANITE ™ 4X4 3S BLX with a brushless system with its BLX100 ESC and Spektrum ™ Firma ™ 3200Kv brushless motor. The combination provides incredible torque, acceleration and speed. The transmission and chassis are robustly designed to take full advantage of the power of the electronics.
It has the ingenious modular design perfected by ARRMA® engineers for easy access and maintenance of components. The power module, with improved dirt management, consists of the motor with ARRMA® heatsink and cooling fan, plus motor plate, slipper clutch assembly and gear cover. The power module can be detached from the chassis as a complete unit by removing only one screw. With the power module removed, the slipper clutch can easily be reached for adjustments by unscrewing three screws securing the gearbox cover. The gear ratio can be fine-tuned as the power module now uses a sliding motor mesh design.
A two-piece molding screwed to the truck chassis acts as an electronic module, containing a waterproof receiver box, servo holder and ESC tray. The SLR300 receiver mounts inside the receiver box for protection from dirt and moisture. The ultra-compact ESC is screwed to the top of the module, allowing quick access to the on / off switch, while the servo mounts to the side. All three components can be removed together quickly and easily.
The differential module houses each differential unit in an innovative yoke design. Only eight screws need to be removed to release the front and rear brackets. The power module can then be detached, allowing the gearboxes to be rotated for differential access. GRANITE ™ 4X4 3S BLX RTR is ready to use brushless with 37T 1.35mod differentials with silicone O-rings. The large gears can withstand enormous torque, and the internal metal gears were chosen for reliability during extreme hits.
Its full-time 4WD drivetrain uses sturdy telescopic front, rear and center drive shafts that can't be lost during heavy impacts, unlike dogbones. A simple, reliable and responsive steering group completes the ultra reliable transmission system and features a servo horn with integrated servo saver. The GRANITE ™ 4X4 3S BLX RTR includes the Spektrum ™ SPMS651 waterproof digital servo with metal gears for 15% more torque than the previous version's ADS-7M servo.
The self-purging, oil-filled shocks, now with silicone O-rings, use a proven coil-over design for easy maintenance and outstanding handling. Their innovative rod terminal has a molded spring perch for added strength. Extended height dirt defenders and a tight-fitting body limit the amount of dirt and debris that can enter the frame tub. Front and rear bumpers offer impact defense.
Four dBoots® Fortress ™ MT tires on gunmetal multi-spoke wheels give the GRANITE ™ 4X4 3S BLX excellent grip on a multitude of surfaces. ARRMA® also installed a wheelie bar as standard. The aggressively styled truck body looks good while striking and even better up close and personal, with great attention to detail on the decal and body aesthetics. Choose green or red trim schemes.
