Plug-and-go convenience is the hallmark of electric RC vehicles, and the Savage XL FLUX is no different. Just connect two suitable battery packs and that's it. Flux 6S compatible speed controller can handle huge amounts of current and standard 2S or 3S LiPo batteries or extra long HPI LiPo batteries can be used

If you want to exceed the speed limit with a Savage XL FLUX monster truck this is ideal. With 2 3S LiPo batteries and road tires like the Phaltline you can reach 100 km / h.
After more than a decade of thrilling performance, the HPI Savage has earned a reputation for being the toughest monster truck you can find. A pair of 2.5mm thick XL aluminum double vertical plates (TVP) are the backbone of the Savage, and a thick 7075 aluminum motor plate holds the super powerful 2200Kv FLUX motor in place. The XL-Wide Savage suspension is ultra-strong, with super thick suspension arms and struts built to handle giant jumps, falls, rolls and crashes at high speeds. Super-strong transmission parts like thick steel dogbones, all-metal drive gears, forged differential gears, and metal differential housings ensure that the transmission can handle the full power of the XL-Powerful FLUX engine.
Huge, oil-filled dual-stage Big Bore shocks tame the roughest landings and terrain, giving you total control at all times.
The Flux ELH-6S electronic speed controller, which controls the Flux 2200 motor, can manage 2 3S LiPo batteries. It comes with 6.5mm bullet connectors for minimum dissipation and is equipped with a cooling fan to operate at the ideal temperature.
It can be connected to a PC with Windows to have total control of the programming. With the Flux Reload ESC Program Box (# HP101856) you can check numerous parameters and save different regulation profiles.
Motor and Battery Combinations:
Tork Flux brushless motors require very powerful batteries to get the most out of them. HPI strongly recommends the use of LiPo batteries above 4000mAh and 30C.
Using lower rated batteries or using lower quality LiPo batteries can cause damage.
Extremely low CG:
The FLUX 2200Kv motor sits extremely low in the frame, providing the lowest possible center of gravity (CG) and the two battery packs are installed on the outside of the TVP frame plates. The low CG offers extra control and cornering capability, allowing you to master the tracks and perform extreme maneuvers.
Super-rugged Savage drivetrain:
The crown and pinion are heavy duty steel and the transmission features all metal gears. The differentials feature a heavy-duty forged metal extra-tough metal differential pinion and crown gear, 4-gear sintered metal internals and metal casings on both ends. Steel stabilizers, super strong dogbones and steel axles complete the drivetrain and it all spins on rubber shielded bearings to ensure maximum power hits the ground.
All Terrain Tires:
With the aggressive tread pattern of the GT-2 tires, you can go from off-road to on-road without any trauma. The center lines of the tread provide stability on paved surfaces, while the side treads and heavy-duty side treads adhere to any type of dirt, mud, leaves, etc.
